I have a missing VBE6.DLL error on access 2007 running on win8.

I recently bought a new computer which has Window 8 on it.  I have loaded Access 2007 and I am trying to run a database that has considerable programming in it.  It comes up with a few errors.  They being missing VBE6.DLL and a mfc100.dll error.  Much of the automation works in the application/database but some doesn't.  I also cannot open the code window.  The original version of the application has come from a earlier version of access but substantially improved on access 2007.  Can anyone help in pointing me to a solution in getting this application/database to work fully.

It works fine on all of my XP computers.  I have jumped straight from XP to Win 8

Do you have any other Office versions installed, including trial versions?

The two errors might indicate a problem with Visual C++ redistributable updates, and if the Access code window doesn't open then the installation of Access or Office 2007 hasn't successfully been done

Yeah, that Reference, VBE6.DLL, needs to be unchecked, see...

Not sure what the database is using the other for, however, you will need to get to the Code window.  Please explain why you can't open the Code window?  Do you only have the Runtime version?

loading the visual C++ redistributable updates fixed the database plus the ability to open the code window.  Cheers for your help

The code window would not open until I loaded the C++ redistributable pack then the database worked plus I could now open the code window.

I have an Access 2007 project that is not opening up correctly in Windows 8 / Microsoft Access 2007.  Some of the drop downs which are filled based on a query are not populating. What am I missing?
