How to change my child's birthdate to that of an actual child

Most people have the opposite problem...I set up accounts for my kids with my own personal information before there was a way to validate a child account with a parent over it. I have access to all of these accounts, and would like to change their birth dates and validate them with my credit card, but they won't let me change from an adult birth date to a child's birth date. How do I do this?

Re-read my question carefully. 

If you set up an account with an adult birthdate, then try to change it to a child's birthdate, it will tell you you can't. Is there a work-around?

BTW, I am mommyfixit, but for some reason it tells me that name is already taken.

I'm a parent, trying to change my child's birth date

  1. Using the parent's Microsoft account, sign in to Security & privacy on the Microsoft account website.

  2. Select Manage permissions for children.

  3. For the child’s account you want to change, select Edit, and then follow the instructions.

If the above does not work for you, then I suggest using the following to get it corrected.

Option 2: Send us a fax
