The New Multiplayer Games on MSN Zone

I have a number of issues with the new games:-

1. Neither Hearts nor Spade will load in IE11 on Windows 10. Get stuck on "Loading" (see screen shot below).

2. They do however load on Edge but there is an annoying video before one gets into the game.

3. The user interface is most unfriendly. It is very difficult to join a game or get a game.

4. Previous userids and stats have disappeared.

5. There does not seem to be any way to change options.

All in all a most disappointing "upgrade".

Can we please have the old games back?

This issue may occur due to corrupt Internet explorer add-ons like Adobe flash player and Java.

Thanks for the prompt response.

FYI, the same problem also occurs on both Chrome and Firefox. 

My IE11 settings have not changed from those that were in place when I played the old versions of these games.

However, I have checked all that you suggested on all three browsers but the problem still persists.

I have no objections to using Edge, but to be honest, I don't think that the new games are anything like as good as the old ones.

I appreciate your time.

I would suggest you to run Internet connections troubleshooter and check if it helps. Please follow these steps:

a. Type troubleshooting in the search box on taskbar and click on it in results.
b. Click "View all" and then click "Internet Connections".
c. Click "Next" and follow on-screen instructions.

If it does not help, perform clean boot and check the issue.

(Also holds good for Windows 10)

Clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program.

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps from section “How to reset the computer to start as usual after clean boot troubleshooting” to reset the computer to start as usual.

Troubleshooter showed nothing.

Tried clean boot, still got stuck in "Loading".

I don't think it's worth pursuing this issue since I can get to the games in Microsoft Edge, but given the state of the games I don't think I'll be visiting very often.

I would suggest you to run Microsoft safety scanner to check and remove any virus or malware which may be causing the issue.

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

Hi,

Are you using a Microsoft Account to log in?  If not, try using a Microsoft Account login.

I noticed the add-on install appeared frequently on IE 11

Go to Tools > Manage Add-ons > Toolbars & Extensions

On the left you will see Show Currently Installed Add-ons

Ensure add-ons listed in the right pane are Enabled

Click the dropdown menu to show "Load without Permissions"

Ensure these too are enabled

Click Close

Return to Game Zone

Select Hearts from the menu here:

You'll see the game load

If the install message reappears, click on it

You may need to do this twice or more but the game loads and plays just fine.  It works well on MS Edge.
