Video - Server Execution Failed

When I downloaded a video clip on my Windows 10 laptop, I got a "Server execution failed". So as a solution, I disabled the "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" on my Windows 10 laptop and it worked. I was able to download video clips that day and play them on my Windows 10 laptop.

The next time (which is all together another day so I would have completely shut down my Windows 10 laptop) I downloaded a video clip, I again encountered the "Server execution failed". But this time instead of figuring out what is wrong, I just moved those clips downloaded using my Windows 10 laptop onto my Windows 7 laptop as part of the diagnostics. Lo and behold, I did not have to do anything, the same video clips played without a hitch on my Windows 7 laptop. So what should I do as I do not want to be doing this each and every time, having to transfer the video clips to my Windows 7 laptop just to play them?

I downloaded other video clips on Windows 10 and they are able to play on my Windows 10. So I think Windows Media Player vis-a-vis Windows 10 really has some bugs relative to this. It has nothing to do with the:

a) download method as it is the same download method as when I encountered the problem “Server execution failed” the first and second times

b) video and Windows Media Player as the video was readily able to play on Windows 7 using Windows Media Player

c) Windows 10 as the video can play using Films & TV app on Windows 10

d) video itself as it readily plays on Windows 10 when I use another video player.

The bug is in Windows Media Player vis-a-vis Windows 10 combined.  Until Microsoft hunts for and fixes it, expect the problem to come up time and again sporadically, intermittently when using Windows Media Player in Windows 10.
