Try these and see if it will help.
Open Start > Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot
Scroll down, select Video Playback
Click Run the troubleshooter
When complete, restart then check if its working again.
If not..
Open Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features
Scroll down to Movies and TV
Select it
Click Advanced options
Click Reset
Restart
Check the Store for updates
I also recommend using other video playback app like VLC if you like.
