RESETTING OF MS TEAMS PASSWORD

My sons school created an account on MS Teams for him. I have been trying to get the password for the account as i have forgotten same. When i try to reset the password the following message comes up : You can't reset your own password because password reset isn't properly set up for your organization.

You must contact your administrator to both reset your password and to check your organization's setup.

Please assist to either change the password or to recover same.

My son will be returning to school on Monday and will require access to MS Teams.

Try to reset your own password by using the Self-Service Password Reset wizard:

*If you're using a work or school account, go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/

*If you're using a Microsoft account, go to https://account.live.com/resetpassword.aspx

Take Note:

If the admin turned on the capability to let you reset your own password, you will be able to reset your own password. Otherwise, the password reset form gives you the option to contact your admin.

I tried again and the message that came up is that You can’t reset your own password because reset isn’t properly set up for your organization. You must contact your administrator to both reset your password and to check yoir organization setup.

i sent a message to the administrator but have not heard from them

If the school created the password, need to contact their admin to reset the password or retrieve the password.

The school gave me the opportunity to reat the password and i did. But i have forgotten it

I understand that, but you need to ask again to them for the password because there the one who created the password credentials.if you are using your own MS teams without an admin yes you can able to retrieve the password. In your son's situation, it was created by the school that's why your son had the MS team used for the school. So if there is an issue on login to MS teams you have to really ask the admin to retrieve the password even you forgot the password again.
