Removing a saved account on MS Teams App on desktop

My account is saved into MS Teams App on desktop . How can I remove the saved account from Teams App so that I can always login using both email and password?

*Now it doesn't ask for the password anymore. Just when I enter the email, it logs me in without requiring the password.

Thank you.

Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an Independent Advisor and consumer of Microsoft products, I will be more than happy to help you.

Could please log out from the current account and see how it goes.
Select profile pic icon > sign out > then re-login again.
Does the MS team ask you for the password?

However, if the problem still persists then please follow these steps to remove all MS Teams credentials.
Step 1
- Go to Windows settings > Accounts >
- Select "Access Work and School" > Select old work account > Click Disconnect
- Sign out and Sign in again. Go to "Email & App account" > Click on old work account and Remove

Step 2:
- Click Windows Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager.
Note: if View by is set to Category, click user accounts first, and then click Credential Manager.
- Select the Windows Credentials option. Locate the set of credentials that has either Microsoft Teams in the name and then expand the corresponding folder.
- Click Remove from Vault (depending on which version of Windows you are running).

Kind Regards
I'm an independent advisor. I'm not a Microsoft staff.

Hello,

I have the same issue, however it is not possible to log out of the account. The account is from my previous workplace that I had to use teams on my personal laptop when I commenced working from home during the pandemic. However after a month, I was let go. So I can't log back in, or log out, or use teams with a new account.

In our case, after you sign out of an account within teams, teams automatically pops back up with the sign out users email address and all i have to do to sign them in is click on their name. This is on a shared conference computer and we would ideally like the signout button to actually sign them out and lock the sign in instead of leave them signed in.

As a user mentioned below, this doesnt seem possible but i find that hard to believe. If you sign out of something, you should need to sign back in. Is there a way to do this?

Hello,

I am not able to do this. I uninstalled Team and tried re-installing it. But it fails to install properly because of the account, so I cannot log-out as I can't even open it.
