Teams automatically logs out at shut down of the system

Can anyone help me to let Microsoft Teams remains logged after system (Windows 10) shutdown?

The problem seems to be not easy to solve:

a) at a new startup I have to insert my credentials twice because the first time it returns a generic error and it restarts the app in a few milliseconds

b) I already tried to uninstall and reinstall Teams multiple times

c) I already tried to uninstall it, completely clean the PC (also in the Registry) and then reinstall it, but nothing changed

Hi Teodoro,

I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

Please clear cached MS Teams login password from credentials manager:
1. Open the Credentials Manager (Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager)
2. Select Windows Credentials
3. Under Generic Credentials, you will see one called: msteams_adalsso/adal_context_segments.
Also, any credentials entry with "MicrosoftAccount:user=" keyword
4. Delete them
5. Sign out and Sign-in again
6. Try accessing Ms teams app again

Besides, you could access 'Teams Web App' https//teams.microsoft.com, use "Use the web app instead" option to open teams in a browser and check the outcome. It will help to isolate the issue with the desktop app.

Regards
Nik

Thank you.

However I don't see any of the specified entries.

I can only see (after the login) the credentials shown in the attached image (I blurred the strings that seemed IDs).

Hi Teodoro,

Please follow these steps:

Please make sure that you have logged with your work account on the laptop.

1. Manually restart the app by right-clicking the icon in your taskbar (Windows) and selecting Quit.
a. Go to Windows settings > Accounts
b. Select "Access Work and School" > Select old work account > Click Disconnect
c. Sign out and Sign in again. Go to "Email & App account" > Click on old work account and Remove

2. Login on MS Teams:
Please login into the MS Team desktop app and make sure you select the "Allow my organization to manage my device" option. (See screenshot.)

Nik

Unfortunately the problem reappeared the next day.

Is there any other solution (e.g., enable debug to understand what happens on my PC)?
