ERROR : task.office.com refused to connect

We created Teams in Microsoft Teams and add Planner inside Teams.

We found the error task.offce.com refused to connect as below when tried to launch Planner in Teams desktop and Teams web BUT when tried to launch Planner on Planner web, it's working fine.

We tried to click reload the tab, sometimes it can go to sign in page and can access to but sometimes it shows the same error and cannot go to sign in page.

I am not sure how to fix this problem ? Does Planner fully support to Teams ?

Remark : This happens to all Teams member. Teams desktop version is 1.3.00.12058 (64-bit).

Hi Voravut,

It seems that you have resolved this problem to load Planner tasks correctly in Microsoft Teams by using Planner’s tab. To share a clear resolution of this question I would like to add a summary so that you and other users can find this thread and corresponding solution easily in the future. Hope it helps.

Description:

To display plans and task from Microsoft Planner as a tab in Microsoft Teams application.

Environment:

Microsoft Teams/Windows 10

Solution:

If we use Website tab and copy and paste the plan URL to display plan in Microsoft Teams, we will receive an error message about “task.office.com refused to connect” as Website tab cannot load and display Planner correctly.

In order to display Planner in Microsoft Teams, we can add a Planner app tab to achieve it.

1: Click on “+” to add a tab

2: Find Planner tab to add

3: Select an existing plan or create a new plan we would like to display in Microsoft Teams to add

For detail information:

Add and use a Planner tab in Teams

Best regards,

Dihao

Hi Voravut,

May I confirm with you how did you add Planner tab into the Teams channel, either adding a Website tab or a Planner tab?

Based on your screenshot, it seems that you add the Planner by Website tab. If the planner is added by a Website tab, you will receive the message about “task.office.com refused to connect” as Website tab didn’t have the ability to load Planner.

In this scenario, you need to add Planner tab by using Planner tab in Teams. Then you plan should be able to display correctly.

For your information:

Add and use a Planner tab in Teams
