Users are receiving "Missed activity emails" from Teams, but they're receiving emails for activity they did NOT miss. No settings have been changed by the user or at the global/organizational level. This just started a few days ago out.

What is causing this and is there a solution?

Hi Cobe,

I am Josephine and independent advisor and a customer like you.

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Forum.

Based on you description, I understand that you are still getting “missed activity" emails despite having never enabled that setting.

Click Profile picture >Manage Account > Settings > choose Notifications option under General, then select “Off” next to Missed activity emails row.

Do well to reply this thread.

Sincerely,
Josephine

Thank you for your reply, Josephine,

That's not the problem. Teams setting is intentionally set to "On" for missed activity. The problem is, the users are getting emails for missed activity but they did NOT miss the activity. We want emails for missed activity, we do not want a barrage of emails for activity we've already seen.

Does that make sense?

For example: you message me, then I immediately read it and reply. An hour later I get a missed activity email saying I missed your message, even though I've already read your message and replied.

Some users in my organization are experiencing the same behavior. Does anyone know if changing the missed activity notification interval to Off and then back to 1 hour solves this issue?
