Unable to add Task to MS Teams Chat

I'm running MS Teams using the Microsoft 365 Family plan

.

I understand from this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-a-new-task-list-02e668ad-7026-4af9-b119-afb0a6f897ca that I can create a new task list to a chat group. like this

Problem is when I click on Tasks, I'm presented with this error "There was a problem reaching this App

Can you please let me know what si causing this issue and how to fix it?

According to your description, seems you cannot add tasks app into your chat channel. Regarding this point, may I carefully confirm with you, is this issue only happening with specific user in chat or all users in chat channel? Meanwhile, we kindly suggest you have a check to log-in your account in Teams web app: https://teams.microsoft.com/ to check whether issue persisting.

When you checked and fund out that this issue only occurring Teams desktop client, we kindly suggest do following steps to check if there is any improvement:

Log-out your Teams account.

Right click Teams icon and select Quit.

Press the Window Key + R

Go to the %AppData%\Microsoft\teams\ delete entire folder

Reboot your PC and log in to Teams again.

Thanks for the reply Tommy. Followed the instructions and still same error in both Desktop app and Web App

Recent update... I've used my mobile to create a Task List called "PCG Tasks" see below

When I use the Teams Chat App, I can see the new Task list in the menu but cannot access it. Keep getting "There was a problem reaching this app"

If I try and use MS Teams Chat using a web browser I cannot see the new Tab

I'm very confused and would appreciate some guidance

I Don't know how this got fixed (nothing was changed at my end), but this morning I can see the task list in Teams

Teams Web is still not working!
