Teams screen sharing MacOS Monterey

When I go to share a screen on Teams, it briefly flickers and then disappears. However it is visible to the person I'm presenting to but I have no control of the shared screen. This is beyond frustrating. Apple says it's a Microsoft issue , and guess what, Microsoft says it's an Apple issue............

Cleared the cache, ran Teams update etc but it still persists. 2021 MacBook Air Apple M1 - before Monterey, it played nicely with Teams

Click the Teams icon from the dock to see if you can find the hidden window?

Do you have expended displays?

Hi Chery - no success clicking on the Teams icon in the dock, and no, I'm not using extended displays.

Appreciate your suggestion though!

I'm having a similar issue since upgrading to Monterey (also M1 chip). I click screen share and I get two options - share screen - which only shares the screen background not any documents. Or Share Window - which just brings up a fuzzy status indicator icon which does nothing. I can eventually upload a document from my hard drive but it's slow and clunky and generally infuriating.

Misery loves company, but at least I'm not the only one having this issue. Still haven't found a solution.

I was having a vexing issue - sharing my screen, only to hear from attendees they could only see my screen background.

I chatted with MS today and determined my problem was likely a permission in Settings. I went to Settings > Security & Privacy > Screen Recording and allowed Microsoft Teams to record the contents of my screen. I think this resolved the problem and will check it out in a meeting today.
