Teams Live Event recording missing

I organized and produced a Teams Live Event last week, but in my calendar, the placeholder doesn't show up as a Live Event but as a regular meeting, so I can't get to the Resources section to download my recording.

Is there any way I can find my recording?

Hi GraeDecena,

I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

You need to be the meeting producer in order to take action on the recording and associated reports (if they were configured).
Currently, the Teams meetings calendar only lets you navigate backward and forward 15 days. If you are not able to get to your live meeting from the teams app calendar, then try finding the live event in your Outlook calendar and clicking "Open live event" instead.

1. To download a resource, click Download next to the resource.

Nik

Hi Nik!

Thanks for the response, but for some reason, in my calendar, it doesn't show up as a Live Event, but a regular meeting, so it doesn't have the Live Event Resources section.

If I join from the link, I get the option to "Join as Producer" so I already am producer for the event. Also, the recording is there because it plays automatically if I "Join as Attendee". I just need a way to download it.

Hi GraeDecena,

May you please click on live meeting that you see in your calendar and share the screenshot?

I would suggest checking if your co-producer and organizer if they can help you to download the resources at their end.

Regards
Nik

I just want to verify that you still have producer permission to live meeting. You will be able to see your meeting role by clicking on live meetings. Please refer screenshot for navigation:

Hi Nik,

Here is an example Teams Live Event I have on the calendar. This one is fine, I am able to access the recording.

However, this is the meeting I need to download the recording for:

When I open it up, it looks like a regular meeting:

If I click on Join Microsoft Teams Meeting, it looks like a regular meeting.

But I if I join the Live Event from its link, it gives me the option to Join as Producer:

Hi GraeDecena,

I see an issue with your role in the live meeting in question, you need to be "Producer" to download live meeting resources after the meeting concluded.
I am afraid to say and It looks like that this meeting got created as a regular meeting in the first place, otherwise you could be part of the producer role.

If you check the first live meeting, you have a producer and organizer role, which allows you to download resources.

Nik

Hi Nik,

Yes exactly, so why did the meeting in the calendar not have those options?

But when I join, I have the option to be a Producer and am already the Producer.

Hi GraeDecena,

I understand your concerns and looked into the details and screenshot you shared. You also mentioned that second meeting where you are not able to see resources, actually a regular meeting not a live meeting. That makes sense, it looks like that meeting was created as a "schedule meeting" in the first place, so you don't see the download resource option there.

You can differentiate with the screenshot attached, in the live meeting you will see the "Broadcast" icon. I am sure if you create a live meeting going forward you will not have this issue.

Regards
Nik

Hi Nik,

Yes, I understand that and I know that is the reason why I cannot download my recording.

Where did my actual Teams Live Event calendar entry go? And how can I get to it to be able to access my recording? Because the 2nd Live Event actually did happen, and I was the producer, it just doesn't show up in my calendar.

Hi GraeDecena,

Can I understand if for 2nd live meeting did you initiated a recording or it started automatically?
You mentioned earlier in a conversation that you can playback 2nd meeting's recording, is that correct?
Also, do you use the stream enabled in your organization to upload your meeting recordings?
If you still have access to the recording can you send me the link URL sample, please mask any personal/official part of the domain URL.

Regards
Nik
