I am unable to find any definitive information regarding spell check in Microsoft Teams. My team just transitioned over from Skype and I'm finding the lack of this function quite frustrating. Moreover, I cannot find any useful resources on the internet to troubleshoot this issue.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Teams?
May I know whether this issue also happen when you use Teams web app?
You may check whether the spellcheck dictionary file gets corrupted of Teams. Refer to the steps below to check this issue:
• Go to C:\Users\<USERPROFILE>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\dictionaries
• Delete (.bdic) file that is there.
• Close Teams (by selecting the task bar icon and Quit)
• Restart Teams
After restart Microsoft Teams downloads the updated/latest dictionary file.

Hi Juan,
The support person in the link above said they couldn't help me. They said I needed to contact someone from the corporate account team. Do you have a different link you could provide?
Thank you,
Amanda

with you. The app for Teams on Windows is pretty broken for usability. The phone app seems better. I really don't know why they didn't incorporate spellcheck into Teams. It's in Outlook, and every other MSFT app I use.
I found an article (link below) that's pretty telling. Basically don't have it, may not have it for a while (I infer). So pretty pathetic, TBH.
Don’t Get Caught By the Lack of a Spell Check
Microsoft Teams doesn’t feature an automatic spell check like you might be used to in Word. This is because the Microsoft Teams word editor doesn’t use the Office dictionary or any user custom dictionaries. You can’t “teach” Microsoft Teams new words either. If you’re working on an important post that you want to ensure is perfect, it’s best to first type it in Word and then paste it in Teams.

Not a good answer. When we use the Spell Checker, it marks half our industry related words as misspelled. WE CANNOT CORRECT this! We need the ability to add/modify the Teams Dictionary. Anything else is not acceptible.

Honestly I would settle for "I've" and "We've" not being highlighted as spelling errors.
