Pinning Apps to Side-Bar Ribbon in TEAMS

Hello -

I am a relatively new Teams user, and am trying to pin my favorite apps to the side-bar ribbon.  I can pin them there, but the next time I open Teams, they have reverted back to default.  We are implementing Shifts, and I want to have Shifts quickly accessible.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Bonny

Hello Bonny,

You can use Teams apps setup policies to pin Shifts to the side bar ribbon for all the users.

Pleas sign in Teams admin center using the Global Admin account and go to Teams apps -> Setup policies -> Global. Under Pinned apps, choose Add apps, search Shifts and add it. Save. Note: It may need a few hours to take effect.

Regards,

Rick

Our IT Admins said they have learned that this is not yet available in the EDU environment.  My preference would be to allow each individual user to pin their own favorites.  Is that possible with University packages?

Thanks,

Hello Bonny,

May I know where did they read that document? If possible, please let them provide a document for further check. I would like to do some tests based on the document.

Rick

I do not have any document.  I am a user, not IT admin., and they didn't mention having a document.  They just said that they had inquired and were told that it wasn't available in the educational version.

When I select "Shifts" from the menu, it places on the ribbon.  I right click on it and "Pin" it, but it doesn't stick.  The next time I go into Teams, Shifts is no longer showing on the ribbon.  Our IT department said that this is not an available feature.

Hello Bonny,

Given the situation, I would like to invite you to submit your feedback in the Microsoft Teams UserVoice forum for feedback. It’s good place for customers to share their feature requests and feedback.

Your understanding and cooperation would be highly appreciated.

There are already many posts on the above noted forum regarding this issue.  The previous instructions indicated that our IT Admins should have access to change that, however they maintain that they are unable to make the adjustment.

Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.  Thanks.
