My Airpod pro 2 doesn't work on Teams

My Airpod pro 2 doesn't work on Teams. They have no problem with other programs, and also work on teams on my phone.

They connect fine and I can see that they are selected in the teams settings. The app is also on the list of apps that can access the microphone and so on.

Furthermore I have disconnected them and reconnected them several times, I have also deleted Teams and installed once agin. Nothing works!!!!

It works fine otherwise and with other headphones.

Hi Kaspar I'm AnnaThomas and I'd happily help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself. Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro are not officially supported by Microsoft Teams. This means that they may not work perfectly with Teams and could potentially cause issues. Microsoft has a list of certified devices that are guaranteed to work well with Teams. These include a variety of headsets from different manufacturers. You can check out the list of Teams-certified headsets on the Microsoft website. If you continue to experience issues with your AirPods and Teams, you might want to consider using a Teams-certified headset for a smoother experience. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ww/microsoft-teams/across-devices/devices/category/headsets/36 I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions. We have more and more people having this issue daily. Now we have to purchase headsets for our employees. Not being on the approved list isn't a valid excuse for them to work all this time and then Mircosoft pushes an update and it breaks. They connect to computers and can use other apps, but as soon as you join a teams call it disconnects the device. That is a bug, please address it.

Same issue actually. It's frustrating to say the least having spent and realising you can do one of the important jobs in day to day life

Hi Microsoft,

I believe forcing the users to use exclusively prescribed devices is perhaps also open to layer attack. Sooner or later someone will show up and sue you for it. For this reason, I recommend that we all make this service available for other devices, such as true-wires headphones.

I am also having this issue and have read every single forum Q&A about this and did alllll of the steps to try and fix and they still aren't working. My last pair worked JUST FINE, and I upgraded and the new pair will not work at all but works with all other apps including Zoom, GoTo Meeting, Google meetup, everything. PLEASE FIX THIS as our team uses Teams primarily for everything.

I discovered a couple solutions for this. You'll notice if you download Teams on an iPhone - it still works with Airpods Pro. So if you connect to the meeting over your iphone You are set up great for Speaker/Microphone. Then go to your computer connect to the same meeting from the Teams app. It'll ask you if you want to Join on both devices, or if you want to switch to the computer. Just tell it you want to join with both devices. Then just keep your computer muted and you are using your phone for all your audio needs and your computer for your monitor/sharing purposes. Plus since both devices are set up through your account - you only show up once in the call. Instead of looking like a weirdo who signed in twice to the meeting. There are also Bluetooth receivers around $80 that can fix the issue as a work around. But this method is free and not too complicated.
