MS Teams stuck in loading loop for just 1 professional account - Mac user

Hello,

I have noticed some issues connecting to Teams for a week or so now. Here were my steps:

1) when I opened the app it would not ask for credentials and get stuck in the loading MS Teams window.

2) I have gone around that by going to the Library folder and deleting the Teams cache folder. Then by deleting the passwords stored in the Keychain Access utility app.

By doing that, I can enter my credentials.

3) For my personal account I can log in, and for one of the two professional accounts, I can log in. Only one of them does not work and gets stuck in the loading loop.

I have noticed as well when I was in the functional pro account, that the other one showed up when clicking on the account logo (see below). This had never appeared before. I logged out and logged in again to the functional account and this had disappeared.

.

Could you please let me know what is happening here? I am on the latest macos update as well as latest Teams update.

Thank you!!

Dear RachelDesbois,

Good day!

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Regarding the situation you are facing, we first need to do some verifications by using the web access.

Please go to teams.microsoft.com using the problem account to see if you face any signing issue.

Moreover in Microsoft Teams app you can only use one work account and one personal account, not more than two work accounts, so that can explain the situation you faced after clearing the cache.

Feel free to let me know If you need further information.

Sincerely.

I am having the same issue on both the Mac desktop app and the website on Chrome and Safari. I have allowed all third-party cookies, allowed cross-site tracking (which I don't want to do and hasn't been needed for the past three years) and still can't open Teams. Our entire company is struggling with this issue and we manage all projects on Teams so need a solution ASAP please.

Hello Mac,

Thank you for your reply.

I cannot access the web version for this one specific account. For the others I can access, no problem. It asks me to allow third party cookies, to add trusted domains. I have done all this and still this one account does not work. I see the web page trying to load many times, refreshing by itself etc. but it doesn't work.

Regarding the limitation of accounts, i had never faced that issue until last week. And this week specifically it completely stopped working.

My company has 2 separate work accounts, on two different email addresses for our workshops, we accessed them without any issue before this.

I have been able to access the account from a Microsoft PC, which makes me think this is a mac related issue. Almost all of us at my company are mac users and cannot log in to that one specific account. Any insights?
