MS Teams Chat not showing up

So when I load into Teams, under the Chat tab, I no longer see anyone listed in the window of the folks that are in the group. However if I manually click "New Chat" and type in the person I want to chat with, the person shows up and chat history and I then am able to communicate with them. Anyone have any idea of why this is? Or what can be done to get it back to normal? I attached a screenshot showing the blank Chat tabImage

No, just the app it appears. When I loaded into the Web Teams, it showed up just fine.

I tried that and no luck, the people are still not showing up in the Chat tab in the app, only on the web app.

Close all instances of Teams (better would be to restart your computer)
Right click on Teams icon on task bar and then right click again on the icon in the list displayed > Run as administrator
You can also click on Start orb (bottom left) to display program list > Then right click on Teams icon > More > Run as administrator
