?...MS TEAMS BACKGROUNDCOLOR.....ALLWAYS DARK


Hi

MS TEAMS 1.4.00.8872 64 bit

  1. Click Settings and more  More options button  near your profile picture.

  2. Click Settings  Settings button .

  3. Click General.

  4. Under Theme, select Default, Dark, or High Contrast. Your theme will change to your selection.

    WHEN I CLICK ON ...Default.......IT IS LIGHT

    BUT AFTER JOIN MEETING...IT IS AGAIN BACKCOLOR.....DARK

thx, but after restart MS TEAMS..

We ran into an Problem. Try again in few minutes...

( I am using MS TEAMS on 2 PCs...)

To look further, may I know what device and operating systems version you have?

Hi,

Please try these steps to check the outcome:
1. Disable GPU hardware acceleration:
a. Go to Teams --> Click on your profile photo --> Settings
b. Enable “Disable GPU hardware acceleration“.
c. Also, Disable “Register Teams as the chat app for Office…“.
d. Right-click on teams in the taskbar and click quite
e. Restart Teams again and check if it works

2. Run the MS Team app in compatibility mode:
- Right-click the MS Team icon on the taskbar then select quit.
- Then right-click the MS Team icon on the desktop > select properties >
- Under the compatibility tab, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" option then select Windows 8 from the dropdown list (see screenshot below)

still not working OK))

MS TEAMS...app......there i can change Background color via Settings.General.THEME................OK

MS TEAMS...Meeting Window (after i click CHAT.JOIN.JOIN NOW)

....in this window i can NOT change Background color to LIGHT THEME

...DARK THEME and HIGH CONTRAST...is working, there is only small color difference

but LIGHT THEME.....is ALLWAYS BLACK/DARK

it is difficult to read the Text.,Buttons...

In background ( Button Join.now direction right ) the LIGHT.COLOR is from MS.TEAMS.APP

First, thank you for the screenshot.

I could see in the screenshot that you're referring to the Team meeting welcome screen background colour with the dark background.
It is a default behaviour by design, this screen is set to dark background colour by default, and there is no option to change this theme for the Team meeting screen.

I completely understand that you see two different colour theme when switching between the Teams screens, which is a default behaviour by design.
