Move Teams pop-up notifications

Is there any way to move where the Teams pop-up notifications appear? As it is the pop up covers the Chat reply box in Teams meetings.

Does anyone know if it is possible to somehow avoid this without making the Teams window smaller? I'd prefer to keep the Teams window full screen as it's already pretty busy and I don't want it smaller, but if it's maximised the Teams notification pop-up covers the chat reply box. This is particularly ironic when the pop-up is telling you that someone just replied in the chat that you want to reply to but you have to close the notification to get to the chat to do so.

Hi Kent,

My name is Didi, an Independent Advisor. I'll be glad to help you today.

At the moment there is no option to move the pop-up notification. We can only turn off chat notifications in Settings to avoid it. There is a UserVoice thread about this feature where you can share your opinion and vote as well. Here are two links:

Thanks!

Ugh. I hate it because I can't see what I'm typing when others are commenting. Terrible that you can't just reposition the comment stack.

I'm really shocked that ms team's ux is THIS bad...I mean...it's bad, as in terrible. It's borderline unusable.

For instance...from the all the articles I've scoured through, there is no way to disable the lobby notification that repeatedly pops up in the middle of an important presentation, which is very frustrating during a meeting of 100+ people multiple times a day.

No offense, MS dev team, but are there non-UX/UI devs creating and/or implementing the UX or something? Teams UI isn't passing the grandma test, folks.

I also would like to move the Teams popup windows to a different monitor.  I always us my main monitor for RDP to customers.  The problem, is that if a collegue tries to grab my attention by writing a message, the popup is hidden by the RDP, so I missall the TEAMS messages, as long as I have a RDP open.

I have an accessibility issue with them: I have astigmatism in my right eye, and a wide screen. I need to move the notifications to some place I'll notice them. Anyone with a wide screen and a very dominant eye, has a 50/50 chance of being in the same boat as me.

We have the same problem, but with a different reason. The popups of remote sessions overlap with local Teams installs so people are taking calls in remote instead of locally, making it a bad experience because sound quality is bad, mic not working and camera is not working. Several users have asked how to move the remote popups to another location to lower left or similar.

The only "workaround" we have today is if the user have two monitors and set the other monitor as primary at the remote session.

hi - I have found it useful to use the 'meeting options' feature on the last line of the meeting. While it is a nuisance to have to create the meeting in order to see the feature, it does provide control over the lobby entrance options and a few other things- perhaps this helps?

1) open the meeting

2) select 'meeting options'

3) adjust the options provided

THEN:

I had another instance today when I wished my Teams Notification was somewhere else. At the same time I received a call, Windows 10 decided to popup a bunch of notifications, I could here the TEAMS call, but I could not click to accept it because it was hidden by the Windows 10 notifications
