Microsoft Teams on Mac - Unable to force a sign out - can't switch away from SSO sign-in page

This is similar to this post, but I am working on a Mac:

I have a University SSO account, and a free account at work.

The problem is that I am unable to sign out of the University SSO sign-in page, nowhere to force a reset, the University SSO page always pop-up, even after an uninstall of the app. I can't use my free account for work at all.

Clicking the sign-out link below does nothing. Clicking Restart will bring me back to the SSO page again.

Is there a way to wipe the cache on Mac? I am using Big Sur 11.4 on an Intel Mac, and the least Teams for osx.

Thanks!

Dear Wai,
I'm Renzo, I'll help you with your question.
You could try with following process:

1. In Safari browser remove all cache and navigation history (all time, all options to select)
https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/clear-yo...
then, go to:
https://teams.microsoft.com,

2. Access with your account, verify if you have access there to Teams "web-client", if it's work, try with following process to remove the Teams app cache:

3. Close completely Microsoft Teams and go to the Finder (or desktop).
Hold the Option key on your keyboard, and click the Go menu at the top of the screen.
With the Go menu open, you'll notice that pressing and releasing Option will display or hide the Library choice in this menu.
Select Library from the Go menu (while holding down Option) to access the hidden folder.

4.- Go to below locations and delete these folders:
~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams
~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.teams.shipit

~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/

5. Open Keychain Access from /Applications/Utilities folder.

Delete all keychains starting with Microsoft Teams and Office.

Note: You may have to unlock your keychain by using your password.

When you down all above steps, restart your PC and then try again to check the result.

6. Re-install the app from below link:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams...

Then Re-start Microsoft Teams and check app behavior.

I think this is occuring because of a newer update. My brother's also having the same issue (but on Windows 10 up-to-date) with Teams. Thankfully, I didn't update my Teams, so that issue doesn't exist on my device.

I'll stay subscribed to this thread to try the steps if the same happens again.
