Microsoft Teams freezes with Bad network quality error even if wi-fi bandwidth is 24 mbps

Whenever in a Teams Meeting, if i present the screen or have a video call, the Teams freezes with error "Bad network quality". I checked the Wi-fi and internet bandwidth during the time i receive the error, it seems to be quite good around 24 mbps. Other devices using the wi-fi works absolutely fine and wi-fi signal is good. I tried to uninstall Teams delete the Teams folder and reinstall after a reboot. Still facing the same issue. I even upgraded the wi-fi driver in my Laptop. But of no help. Voice meetings does not have any issues. I am using HP Elitebook AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U Laptop with 16 GB RAM and OS is Windows 10 Enterprise Version 20H2.

Also i noticed that if i connect through dongle instead of wi-fi, i do not face the issue, even if the dongle internet bandwidth is less than the broadband wi-fi.

Please help me to get rid of this irritating problem.

Hello, sandeepkundu1979

I am Igor and I will be glad to help you with this question :)

To narrow down the issue, could you test if the same happens using the web version of Teams?

Hi Igor

Thank you so much for your response. I just tried with the Web version of Teams today and presented my screen, i did not face the issue. So the problem is with the Teams Desktop App only.

Please let me know if there is any fix for the Teams Desktop App. I tried to uninstall Teams delete the Teams folder and reinstall after a reboot, but no success.

Hello Igor

After observing for so many days, i finally came to know what is actually causing the problem. It is because of the bluetooth headsets. Whenever I present my screen or have a video call while using the bluetooth headset, it shows "Bad network quality". Couple of times when i got the error, i replaced the headsets with a wired one, the call went on fine without any issues.

I later upgraded the bluetooth driver on my laptop, but still the issue persists with the bluetooth headsets. Any solutions to get rid of the bluetooth issue?
