Large gallery view not working

Hello.

I am trying to use the 'large gallery' view. I tried to activate it in these two ways:

1) To enable this new layout, click the “…” icon at the top-right of a Teams meeting. From the menu which appears, choose “Large gallery” to enable expanded participant support.

As you can see from the first image attached, the problem is that the icon is in grey and cannot select it.

2) Select your profile pic at the top of the Teams app, then Settings > General. (General should be what’s showing when you open Settings, so you probably won’t have to select it.). Select Turn on new meeting experience.

Restart Teams.

As you can see from the second image attached, the "turn on new meeting experience", at least on my computer, does not exist.

What should I do? I am using Teams for work and I am the only one of my colleagues with this issue: this is very annoying.

Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an Independent Advisor.

I've seen this issue happened to other MS Team users lately.

Could you please reset the MS Team app and see how it goes.

Please visit the following article and refer to the section, under the "Mac OS: Clear Teams Cache" section. https://www.uvm.edu/it/kb/article/clearing-team...

Afterward please restart your computer as suggested in the following article: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsof...

Please let me know If the problems still persist, I will assist you with further assistance.

Hi DanielTech, thanks for your help.

I followed the directions on the first link but in my Microsoft folder there was not any Teams folder. I believed I cleared the Microsoft chache though (even though they did not disappear)

Then I restarted the computer, and nothing has changed.

As for the second link: it was not clear to me where I should find the answer to my issue...

Have you tried to uninstall then reinstall the MS Team app and see if it make any difference? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/m...

However, if the problem still persists then please create a new fresh environment for MS Team. You can always go back to the previous Mac OS profile whenever you want.

Please follow these steps below:
1. Create a new Mac OS  user account:
https://www.imore.com/how-create-new-user-accou...
2. Install MS Team in a new Mac OS user account.
