Introducing the new Microsoft Teams, now in preview

Please i need your help on this issue.

But unfortunately, we are having a little problem when using the new Teams Desktop App.

When we switch to the new Microsoft Teams Desktop app we don't see the option to Manage Team, Add channel, Add members, Leave Team, Edit Team etc.

But when we switch back to the old Microsoft Teams, we do see the option to Manage Team, Add channel, Add members, Leave Team, Edit Team etc.

Does anyone know why the new Microsoft Teams Desktop app does not have the option to Manage Team, Add channel, Add members, Leave Team, Edit Team etc.

Let us try to isolate this issue. Please try Teams Web and check if it is working

If it is working on Teams Web there might be an issue with your desktop app. I suggest you to clear the Teams app cache and see if the issue persists.

Kindy follow the below steps to clear the Teams cache

Clear Teams cache in Windows

1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar and then select Quit.
2. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.
3. In the Run dialog box, enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and then select OK.
4. Delete all files and folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams directory.
5. Restart Teams.

Clear Teams cache in macOS

1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.

2. In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.

3. Enter the following command, and then press Return:

4. Console

rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams

5. Restart Teams.

Hi,

The Teams 2.1 preview has not all features released as the Teams v1. client.

It is a preview Teams client with less features at the moment!
