Focus on content not working

Clicking on "focus on content" does not remove the right pane. It only removes the names and icons of participants. I've tried reinstalling and running Teams as administrator but the issue remains unresolved. Can someone tell me how to get rid of the right pane?

You could try running the MS Team app in compatibility mode:

1. Right-click the MS Team icon on the taskbar then select Quit.
2. Then, right-click the MS Team icon on the desktop > select Properties.
3. Under the compatibility tab, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" option then select Windows 8 from the dropdown list.
4. Click 'Apply'

If it still fails, I suggest giving feedback to Teams. To do so, you may click on the Help icon from the left navigation bar of the Teams app > Give feedback (desktop and web)..This way, developers would be informed of the issue and hopefully, investigate.

Thanks
Didi

I noticed the change since the Change View was moved from the "kebab" (More Actions) menu to its own on the top left. Believe change happened sometime mid to late October 2021. Regardless, Gallery cannot be "unchecked" rendering "Focus" all but useless.

I strongly contend THIS is a bug

Clicking focus removes the participants avatars, but the content pane remains. Fix this.

Agreed. "Focus on content" used to fill that space to the right. It now only slightly increases content. And there's STILL no way to magnify on our own, which Zoom and Webex do allow!

This new bug is very frustrating but I found something that might help with this until MS fixes the issue. If you use CTRL "-" you can shrink the frame around the content area and get more space for it. You can then un-pinch/pinch on the touchpad to zoom in and out of the content area. This has worked pretty well for me without having to ask the presenter to adjust their side. Hope this helps some of you for now.
