Changing Presenter View in Teams

I am a teacher and yesterday my Teams updated. I now have my powerpoint showing in presenter view with the film strip below and notes to the right. I do not want this as the slide I am teaching from is now too small to see and where we are projecting our screen onto our boards (for key worker students to follow along) they also are struggling to see!!

Please can someone tell me how to go back to the normal powerpoint version where the main slide takes up the whole screen?

I am the only person in my department who seemed to change over to this version yesterday so I am stuck as to what to do.

Thanks.

Hi CW_861,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft forum.

Based on your description, I tried to reproduce your issue from my end. However, my shared PPT seems to remain the whole screen as below.

As a workaround, would you please share your Power Point presentation via an Application window as below. See "Window lets you show a specific app" part in Show your screen during a meeting.

In this way, you will still be able to show the whole screen of the PPT file to your students. And below is the student's view of the shared PPT.

Hope this helps! Thank you.

Hi CW_861,

Also give a try of the Teams web app ( https://teams.microsoft.com/ ) via an inPrivate browser window to see if it helps.

Hi Guys,

I am an IT technician at a school and we have had a few members of staff complain about this. Here are a few things that you can try.

The first is to use this keyboard shortcut and the notes section will close allowing you to share the powerpoint rather than the window. To do this press Ctrl + Shift + X and it should remove the notes section.

Another option would be to share the window rather than the powerpoint. This should remove the notes section but does change the functionality of the Teams screen share from the other option above.

The last option would be to try extend mode with a projector or second screen and share the powerpoint window on one screen and the chat window on the other.

Hopefully this helps.

Thanks

Billy
