Microsoft equation editor 3.0

I use Microsoft  2007 and  I have a problem when I use the Microsoft equation editor. When I type an equation many mathematical symbols ( { ,-, ] ;.....) do not appear on my screen. This problem is not related to the version of Microsoft office that I use because this problem doesn't occur in another PC with the same version. If it is related to the editor itself, How can I uninstall it.

Are you using the new native Equation Editor or the old Microsoft Equation 3.0 provided by Design Science? To use the latter, you would need to use Insert | Text | Object | Object | Microsoft Equation 3.0. If you are using Insert | Symbols | Equation, then you're using the new native editor.

Thank you Suzanne, I use the old Microsoft Equation 3.0. Just there are some mathematical symbols that do not appear on my screen or they appear only if I modify the style or the size of the equation.

Your best bet is to contact Design Science support about this. They're not really obligated to support Equation Editor, but I've found they usually try to be helpful (if only in the hope of getting you to upgrade to MathType).

You might try changing the zoom factor (using the slider in the bottom right corner of the Word window). It might be just a matter of where the character strokes fall with respect to the screen pixels. This is especially likely if the document prints properly on paper (the printer's pixels are much closer together than the screen's).

I have tried to change the zoom factor but the problem still the same. Also, when I print the document the symbols do not appear.

Have you tried repairing Office 2007 on the machine where the equation editor doesn't work properly?

If you insert the original disc for Office 2007, then you should be able to customize the installation. You could try removing and re-adding the Equation Editor and/or choose the option to repair from disc.
