Hi Skobelev,

Install all the Office updates restart the computer and see if Send a Smile is still available in Office applications.

Hope it helps. Try the suggestions and let us know the result at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Thanks for the report.

Actually uninstalling and reinstalling will not solve this problem, so please don't do that. Instead can you let me know what build of Word you are using. I think you are part of Office Insider which allows you to give us feedback via send a smile. Can you confirm?

Hello,

change the Enabled (DWORD) Value from 1 to 0 at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Feedback to disable the feedback functionality, and put 1 to Enable the smiley.

15.0 is for Office 2013

16.0 is for Office 2016

Regards

Prince

Many installations of Office 2016 do not have the Feedback Key in 15.0 or 16.0, so combining the method already suggested and the method to remove the Smiley from IE, I came up with this solution that worked for me:

1. In registry editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft
2. Create new keys: Office > Common > Restrictions
3. In that key, create new DWORD: NoHelpItemSendFeedback
4. Edit value from 0 to 1

Launch any MS Office 2016 product and the smiley’s should not be there.
