Filing Complaint

Hello,

I welcome knowing how to file a complaint with Microsoft. I sent my problem plagued Word 2016 Manuscript to a Word MVP on February 23, 2016. I asked him to inform me when he received the document and eight screenshots. To date, I have not heard a word. And I cannot do anything. My life and time is being wasted.

In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions for me to work around Word? This information would be most welcomed.

I did not see the post in which you said that you would send the document to me, after you had initially declined to do so, and as a result, I was not looking out for it.  I have now discovered your message in my junk mail folder from where I have retrieved it.  I have then opened the TMTCTMTRTS-etc document and I see a document of 158 pages containing 44,215 words with some highlighted text in it and 7,926 revisions that have not been accepted.

I have no problem making additional revisions, or accepting all of the revisions in the document.

I have sent you a pdf of the document as I saw it before making the changes that I referred to above and also one in which I accepted all of the changes.

Hi,

Are you kidding me? I sent you an email before, so why would my last email go to junk or I did inform you on this thread that I would wait because Word was working okay again? Are you telling me that you only discovered my email as junk two weeks after I sent it?

When word acted up again, I did inform you, on this or another thread, that I wanted assurance from you that you will take responsibility from the time I click "SEND". You didn't respond to that post. It clearly shows that I intended to send you my document.

For three weeks I have been stymied. I can't do a thing.

I do not want you to make any revision for me. I want to be able to use Word 365. You told me that you will look at the document, and I believe, any reasonable thinking person, would believe that you would attempt to figure out the issues with the document, not do what I can do if Word 365 works as it should work.

I was about to go through the document, in fact, I started, to go through the latest revision, and accept or reject or make changes. 

Respectfully, I don't believe that you can correct or revise or reject what I would.

You should have asked me if you can make a PDF, not tell me you made one. It's intellectual property with content not know to anyone, but myself and the editor who I gave permission to make changes as sees fit.

I await your response.

After a spiel like that, I wouldn't blame Doug for telling you to solve your own problems...

Abusing those who give up their own free time to help others when the blame is squarely in your own corner says a great deal about the kind of person you are, both demanding help and making 'complaint' threats...

As for "my problem plagued Word 2016 Manuscript ... I cannot do anything. My life and time is being wasted", have you never heard of backups???

It was only when I saw this new thread that you started that I went looking for the email message that I found in my junk folder.

You might have more chance of working with the document if you were to accept some of the seven thousand odd revisions.

Hi,

I hear you, but as I stated, I informed you weeks before that I was sending the document, and asked you if you would accept the responsibility from the moment I clicked "SEND". Days passed, and you didn't respond to that post.

I am baffled that it has that many revisions, I was going to address that in my earlier reply. The record will show that when I sent it to the editor, the only comments that were open were questions and comments I wanted the editor to answer for me, and many were what I striked out; references numbers, etc. Nothing major. Total 407.

Respectfully, what you're saying does not add up. I say that because I had the same issues with ONE PAGE. I prepared one page, and could not send it to whom I had promised, because I couldn't delete or accept changes for ONE PAGE.

Please  DO NOT blame a multitude of revisions. The manuscript I sent the editor had 407 comments by me. The vast majority were simple things.

What about the ONE PAGE? Even now, I am still having a host of the same issues With Words 365 with TWO PAGES.

By the way, you said you sent me a PDF, I have not received it. When did you send it?

I checked my junk mail, and it is not there.

Thanks for your word of caution. I was not aware that the MVP was a volunteer, I interpreted it as Microsoft VP. However, are you saying that I shouldn't speak my experience? I appreciate all the help I obtained. The record will show that I have always expressed gratitude for any help rendered.

When Richard703, if I have the correct name saved my day after all five of my manuscripts files were gone in December 2015. Did I response unkindly?

It is true that I was not aware that MVP are not Microsoft staff.

Would someone tell me how I can get Microsoft support? I have been having issues since December 2015. Today is March 11, 2015.

Moreover, I would like you or someone copying and pasting what I said that is nonfactual and not considerate of the help I am getting.

If anyone who sees my responses as inappropriate were in the same situation as me, I welcome you or them telling me how they would handle it? This way, I would know what to do going forward. Is that an unreasonable request?

I have read posts by people who went ballistic in this forum, and not one person posted a negative comment about those unbecoming behaviors.

Would someone please tell me how to get Microsoft support. Thanks.

Hi,

I thought you were a Microsoft employee. In fact, I thought that MVP meant Microsoft VP, so I am sorry for posting that I was filing a complaint. Forgive me.

I will remove that post. However, I still need to get in contact with Microsoft support because I have been plagued with issues from December 2015 until today, and I don't see any light at the end of this tunnel. If you or anyone else don't understand my side, heaven help us.
