Single level list nested in a multi level paragraph

Can anyone please show an example of how a nested list can be made with the multi-level dialog boxes in Word?

Thanks for the clarification. The indentation bug has been around for many years. It likely won't be fixed.

The best way to keep numbering stable is to ensure that just a few people are actually editing the formatting. Most users should apply styles that have been created for them.

Use the next numbering level in the Define New Multilevel List dialog as shown below, linking it to a style and then applying that style when you need to use such numbering.
