Doug Robbins merge tools tab missing after Windows update

I downloaded Doug Robbins merge tools a few weeks back and it was working fine. Today i was forced to do windows update and the file is still in the startup folder but I am getting an error "word cannot open this document template" when I open Word. The merge tools tab is also missing.

I see the add-in is showing in the inactive list as well

Try going to the Developer tab of the ribbon and click on Word Add-ins in the Add-ins section of the ribbon and then check the box alongside the

MergeTools - 20150422.dotm

If that causes Word to display an error message, then it would seem that somehow, the Add-in must have been damaged by the Windows update, (but it would be the first time that anybody has reported that).  In that case, delete the existing copy of the add-in and

download the MERGE TOOLS ADD-IN.zip file from the following page of my One Drive:

http://bit.ly/1hduSCB

Then extract the add-in from the archive and save it in the Word Startup folder.

Hope this helps,
