How to divide a page into different sections

Hi,

I'm working on creating parking notice slips in word. I've set the page to horizontal view and written what I want. The problem is I don't want the notices to be a whole page. I want this same notice but I want it to be 1/4 of a page or less. In other words I wish I could divide a page into four and put four copies of this notice per page so that I can just print and cut them out. How would I go about doing this?

Here's an easy way:

  • Make four copies so that each occupies one page (or insert page breaks between each Notice). This is how it should look. The four pages viewed side by side (this view depends on the document's zoom percentage and window size, but it does not affect the result):

  • Set your Print parameters similar to this. Note the "Layout > Pages per Sheet: 4" setting:

  • Here's the result as viewed in Preview, all four notices in one page:

To print multiple copies of your four-in-one document, just select the number through the Print dialog's "Copies & Pages" dropdown menu.

You will need to play a little with the size and the horizontal & vertical placement of your first notice (before quadruplication) so that you can obtain similar margins with just two centered guillotine cuts. It will be easier if you paste the whole first notice in a Text Box, as this can be easily moved around on the page.
