Fixing Sync Issues with SharePoint

how can Is fix specific file that isn’t synchronizing (red “x” on the file icon in File Explorer instead of a green checkmark or blue sync symbol), although I tried to not sync and re sync folders but the same issue still their.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

 

For the specific folder that cannot sync properly, you may open the folder and check which file has the "red x", it should be the file that causes the issue. Move the file from the folder and see if the rest files and folders will sync normally. 

 

If you modified a file in the folder from local sync folder and then the issue happens, you may try following:

1.Stop sync the SharePoint library by right click OneDrive icon in task bar>Settings>Account> find the document library and click Stop Sync.

2.Move the affected folder to a different location on your computer, such as Desktop.

3.Then go to SharePoint online, click the Sync button to sync the document library again.

4.After the sync complete, put back the modified file in the sync folder.

 

If issue persist, please share with us following information for troubleshooting:

1.The version of your OneDrive sync client.

2.If you open the affected folder, can you find a file that has the red x too? Can you get any detailed sync problem for it? If yes, please share a screenshot about it.

actually i did all this steps before posting this issue, but now there is no files with red icon but i have many files still have the "blue sync icon" when it end is some files it starts in others i dont know why it keeps update sync with know end.

Thanks for posting back, we could understand the frustration when encountering the issue. Now the issue is that files continue show syncing in progress.

 

Generally the sync arrow will display when you are uploading files, or OneDrive is syncing new files from the cloud to your PC. If it shows for a long time, it could be because you have an online file open, a very large file syncing, a lot of files stuck in a queue. We suggest you try following and see if the issue can be fixed:

 

1.Ensure you are using the latest version of OneDrive sync client.

The latest version is 19.033.0218.0007, you can get it from this article New OneDrive sync client release notes

 

2.Try resetting OneDrive sync client:

1)Press Windows key + R to open the Run window.

2)Type %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset and press OK.

3)launch OneDrive again, see if the issue will disappear.

 

3.Try other suggestions and troubleshooting steps in this article: OneDrive is stuck on “Processing changes"

I would avoid the sync client which is generally regarded as very buggy. A much better option is to create local network locations which allow you to open/save directly from/to SP,  without having to duplicate files.
