Calendar Delegate Not Receiving Calendar Email Notifications for Private Entries

we are using the office 365 education plan.

using the office 365 web client, we're seeing issues with the email calendar notifications that a delegate should receive.

specifically, if the calendar entry is not private, the delegate receives the email notification for the meeting.  but if the calendar entry is private, then the delegate does not receive the email calendar notification.

the manager has granted the delegate the option to view private entries.  all the entries are being created in the web client using ie 11.

i have tested this on several accounts that have delegate access with the option to view private entries.

below are the calendar email notices that the manager sees in his inbox:

below are the calendar email notices that the delegate sees in her inbox:

it appears that the email notifications for private calendar entries are not being forwarded to the delegate.

the problem appears to have started occurring within the last couple weeks.

thank you.

Hi Beth,

In Office 365, it is not feasible for the delegates to receive private meeting requests even we have selected "Let delegate view private events". For your reference:

If the delegate wants to manage the private meeting invitations, the workaround is to check the calendar events in the user's calendar.

I understand it would be nice if the delegate can receive private invitations as well. Therefore, I suggest you submit feedback about the feature via the link below:
