"The operation failed. An object could not be found" error message when I click Reply in Outlook 2013

I get "The operation failed. An object could not be found" when I click Reply in Outlook 2013 with Windows 8 with a POP3 email account, which I just set up with the ISP (online instructions did not work). I can Send and Receive emails, but can't Reply or Forward.

Also wondering why I have a separate Inbox for my email account, not the general Inbox and if that's part of the problem.

Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting the question. As per the description you are facing issues while replying and forwarding emails in Outlook 2013. Let me assist you with the issue.

When you set up an email account in Outlook 2013 by default there will be a separate inbox created in the navigation pane and that will not create a problem.

In order to troubleshoot the issue related to Outlook, try the step below:

Try repairing the Outlook data file and check if it helps.

If the above step fails, create a new profile for Outlook and then try to perform a test. Check if it helps fix the issue:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918

If the issue fixes in the new profile, you may set the new profile as default and continue working with it:

·         Click on Start.

·         Go to control panel.

·         Mail icon, Show profile.

·         Highlight the new profile and click on always use this profile

·         Click ok.

I hope the above steps helps. If you need further assistance on this particular issue or any other Office related issues let us know and we will be glad to assist you.

Thank you.
