You mention Outlook 2010 and also 365 and Outlook 2016 - so which is it?

And did this occur after an update or change of something?

Did you recently change your password? That can sometimes happen. Open the start menu and type Credential Manager - when it comes up, open it. Under windows credentials, delete all that begin with microsoftoffice16 - then restart outlook.

Also, verify the account is not configured to use anon  auth. Instructions are here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2984912/outlook-continually-prompts-for-your-password-when-you-try-to-connect

Hi Kishore Anbu,

You may try to clear windows credentials via Credential Manager and clear all Office related credentials (you may back up these credentials before remove), then restart Outlook and login your account to see if issue persists.

Meanwhile, may I know whether you are using Office Professional Plus 2010 for Office 365 subscription? If so, since it is out of support since October 13, 2015, I suggest that you may update to Office 2016 to get better customer experience: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/how-do-i-upgrade-to-office-2016-ee68f6cf-422f-464a-82ec-385f65391350 .

Thanks,

Anna

Hi Kishore Anbu,

You may try to create a new Outlook profile to see if issue exists: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/create-an-outlook-profile-f544c1ba-3352-4b3b-be0b-8d42a540459d.  At the meantime, we recommend you to upgrade to Office 2016 to get better experience.

Thanks,

Anna
