Error 0x80004005

Hi, I am getting an error message with outlook 2013 on office 365. My account wont receive emails. I get an 0x80004005 error. There is no antivirus on at the moment, and I have rebooted, restarted and the service provider tells me the mailbox is working fine. Can anyone help?
Oh and I dont have any hotmail accounts linked.

Hi Brenden,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Office Community and We will be glad to assist you with your concern. I understand that you are unable to receive e-mails in Outlook 2013.

I have a couple of questions before we proceed.

1. What is the type of e-mail account (POP, IMAP, MAPI or Exchange) setup in Outlook?

2. Who is your Inter Service provider?

3. Do you have any other e-mail account apart from the one we have issues with?

Method 1:
Let us restart the computer in Clean Boot to verify. Refer the article on How to restart the computer in Clean Boot:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting in clean boot, ensure you restart the computer in normal mode.

Method 2:
If that does not help, then let us create a new profile and setup the e-mail account. Refer the following article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918

You may refer to the following article Error messages when you send and receive in Outlook:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813514

I hope these steps provided helps in sending and receiving e-mails. If you need further assistance, reply and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank You
