Outlook 2007 (KB3191898) issue

I am running windows 10 which completely up to date. KB3191898 for outlook 2007 has caused icloud calendars and contacts to disappear with repeated APLZOD.DLL errors when trying to resolve.

Solution: De install Outlook 2007 (KB3191898) and everything works correctly. As this is a security update, Micorsoft needs to provide a fix urgently.

Same issue. I uninstalled KB3191898 but since windows 10 will not let me hide the update, it just reinstalls.

I ran the "show and hide" program, but it only shows driver updates and not KB3191898.

Contacted support and he said that I should upgrade to Office 365. Really? How about allowing me to hide the update until it's fixed.

How can I remove KB3191898?

By the way I try, I get the error message 'Transforms, can't remove'.

If it wasn't for the fact I can't run my genealogy programs on a MAC I would have already had one. Microsoft needs to fix. Otherwise I will keep pausing updates using advanced options.

You didn't mention which OS you are using? Better to do so in future.

Usually click start > type 'windows updates' > 'update history' > click the update > choose 'uninstall'

Helped me resolve many iCloud 3.1 + Outlook 2007 missing calendars/contacts issues.

I am stuck sending email only on my iCloud devices. And only using iCloud for calendar. What a pain. While I like Outlook when it works with the cloud, I am currently searching for alternate means in the future.

Office 2007 is nearly end of life (October, 2017). It is already in extended support.

With this in mind - it is completely expected that some functionality, especially with third party apps, will begin breaking. In this example, iCloud is still being updated with features and tech, Outlook 2007 is not. Microsoft's security fix just so happens to have caused an incompatibility.

The real answer is to upgrade to a new version of office. If you have at least two computers and want to avoid similar issues in the future, Office 365 is a good option.
