Office 365 Notifications

How do we turn notifications back on in Office 365?  Several users have the error message "Notification settings aren't available right now"  & cannot control their notification settings at all.

What is causing this and how can we correct it so users can control whether they get reminders, etc.

Thanks!

The reported issue relates to O365. Your answer relates to Outlook so is not relevant.  The O365 issue is that when you click on the COG in the O365 bar and select Office 365 Settings and then Settings the Notifications option reports "working on it..." and then "Notification settings aren't available right now".

You are correct Roderick - we still don't have an answer for why this error message appears in Office 365 settings.  After checking with other users, some were able to use the Chrome browser and this message did not appear.  So the root cause may be with Internet Explorer.  Still waiting for an answer from a Microsoft Office 365 expert.  Thanks!

It does work in Chrome.  I find this funny.

NO - nothing.

It has not come up again for my team.

Only the response to pursue it in the other forum which I did not take the time to do.

I'll head over to tech net.

But you are still seeing the issue though, right?  Just no one else has complained?

I had this same issue while using IE (not Edge) and was able to resolve the issue by going into Internet Options >> Security >> and then add the page https://portal.office.com as a "Local Intranet site" (would probably also work to add it as a "Trusted Site").  I have had to do this to all of our SharePoint sites in the past as IE restricts certain functionality.
