Outlook Web App ( OWA ) - Contact email address edited by user still appears when composing a new email

The user edited email of a contact in her personal contacts. When the user attempts to send an email to the revised address and searches for the contact name, both the old and the new email addresses appear in the search result drop-down. The user has a Windows 7 PC with 2010 office products installed with the exception of Outlook 2010. We have an office 365 for business subscription. Any opinions regarding how to delete the old on edited email address from the system would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Rick,

Please try to delete this contact and then re-add it in Outlook Web App>People tab.
If the issue persists, could you help me confirm the following information?
1. If you use another browser and in-private mode, will the issue persist?
2. Does any other user in your organization encounter this issue?

Best Regards,
Zoey

Zoey,

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, several users in our organization have experienced this issue, including myself.

In my case, I was attempting to send an email to a person named Kim. When I typed "Kim", one of the suggested emails in the drop-down was another person named Kim who I had recently deleted from my personal contacts.  I tried to re-create the issue in chrome and Internet Explorer this morning and I did not have the deleted contact as a possible email recipient.

The issue seems to be resolved.

Appreciate the reply and thank you for your help.

Rick
