Outlook 365 Something wrong with your data file error, can't recover even after reinstall O365

I kept having the error "Something is wrong with one of your data files and Outlook needs to close...". Here are the action I have done

1. Run the repair as the prompt suggested many times, does not work

2. Create new profile and new data files, does not work. Outlook kept going back to the same data file (.ost) even if I deleted all the old data files and the old profile. It doesn't seem to pick up the new profile

3. Reinstall entire O365, doesn't work

Somehow outlook is very persistent in trying to go back to use the old data file no matter what I did. How do I configure so that it looks for the new data files and the new profile? Please help!

Thanks!

Hi,

Set the registry field "PromptRepair" to 0 has worked for me.
