New Outlook update gives unnecessary white space above Inbox

Since the new update on Outlook, my Inbox view (and all other folders) is messed up. I don't like the waste of white space above the emails as I am on a small screen (the one containing Search, All/Unread and Sort option). It should all be on one line, like it was before.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Answer

Hi Farhan777,

I can reproduce this problem in my latest version(Monthly channel 1806 10228.20134) of Outlook.  Compared with the past versions of Outlook, the new update adds the Arrange By option in the preview view. If you’re unable to get used to this view, you can try to revert to an earlier version of Outlook by following the steps below:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2770432/how-to-revert-to-an-earlier-version-of-office-2013-or-office-2016-clic

Meanwhile, I understand your inconvenience, I suggest you submit you feedback via the following link:

Many features of current programs have been designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback.

Regards,

Huni
