Array index is out of bounds

Trying to open an email in outlook 2016 and it tells me the array index may be out of bounds. Can anyone help?

Hi Kevin,

 

1.Please try resetting index to see if it works.

 

2.To identify if the issue is related to Add-ins, please start Outlook in safe mode to see if the issue persists. (Click Start > Run> type outlook.exe /safe> clickOK.)

If it works, try disabling add-ins to see if it works:

Click File> Options> Add-ins> Select “COM Add-ins” in the Manage drop-down> click Go> Uncheck any add-ins that you are not using> click OK.

 

3.If you are using an Office 365 account, you can try using the SaRA tool to diagnose and fix the issue.

 

4.Do a Quick Repair for your Office suite, if it doesn’t work, then do Online Repair.

 

If the issue persists, I’d like to confirm more information:

  1. Which account are you using, Office 365, Outlook.com or others and how is your account configured in the Outlook client, via Exchange, POP/IMAP?
  2. The detailed version of your Outlook client. Please navigate to File> Office Account to check it.
  3. A screenshot about the symptom with the error “the array index may be out of bounds”.
  4. When Does the issue starts to happen? Do you make any change that may cause the issue?
