Outlook 2016 won't launch

I am in California and am trying to help my wife who is in New Jersey.  She is not tech savvy at all.  For some reason Outlook 2016 will no longer launch for her.  It worked fine for a long time.  Starting last night when she clicks on the icon, and gets the message that "Outlook is Starting" but then nothing happens.  She tried rebooting Windows 10 64bit Professional on a new Dell XPS 13 laptop with plenty of memory and an i7 processor, with no luck.  She did a repair of Office 365 and no luck.  What is the next step?  Help.

I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if the issue persist:

Start Outlook in safe mode following steps mentioned below and then check if Outlook work as expected:

  • Hold Windows key + R.
  • Copy and paste, or type the following command in the Open box, and then press Enter:
    Outlook /safe
    Note: There is space between Outlook and /

If Office application works as expected in application safe mode, then disable the add-in(s) by following the steps from the link below and verify the status.

The community did not solve my problem, but an IT person did.  I am not sure what he did to solve the problem.

This worked for me.  I disabled iCloud Outlook, MSExchange and MSSharePoint SErver Colleague Import.  Did not follow the directions -- knew I didn't need any of these, so disabled them all at once.  Sorry - don't know which one was the culprit, but Outlook is back to launching just fine.  THANKS!
