Outlook 2016 rule to defer delivery by 2 minutes doesn't work with symbols in exception field

In Outlook 2010, a rule would work successfully to defer delivery (sending) of messages by _x_ minutes except if the subject contains "*****". In 2016, it does not recognize the "*****" exception - exceptions won't work unless it's a recognized word in the dictionary. Adding "*****" to the dictionary didn't seem to make the rule work either. Is there a solution or workaround to use symbols in the exceptions to a rule?

Hello Sharon,

Outlook allows you to delay emails by a certain amount of time before sending them. For isolation purposes, we recommend that you repair your Microsoft Outlook application and check if the issue persists. You may refer to the steps provided in this article on how to repair an Office application.

We look forward to your response.
