How do you add a charter business e-mail account in Outlook 2016 as the encryption options Spectrum requests you to choose are not available as options when adding a new e-mail account?

I do not have the ability on the add account options in 2016 to select the encryption methods specified by Spectrum.  Has anyone else had this problem?  What did you do to resolve?

Please see below for the options available.  I have tried every iteration of all of these, and I cannot get anything to work.  I have called Spectrum Business, and they just direct me to Microsoft.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The screenshot didn't make it though... what type of encryption do they require? Do you have a link to a web page?

Below is the image.  Hopefully it comes through this time.  They say to use SSL for incoming and TLS for outgoing.  I have used all three of the options for both and have attempted for both checking the SPA box as well.  I have also tried every port number I could find on their website for incoming and outgoing.  The only think I haven't tried yet is changing exchange below to imap to see if that works for the incoming, but Spectrum said what they have posted on their website for the servers is accurate.  I will try that now though.

The image came through... based on the server name, it looks like its an exchange account. If you enter you address on the first screen, does outlook find the account?

I tried that as well as trying to choose exchange as the application.  They both run for a while and then error out as well with, "Something went wrong and outlook couldn't set up your account.  Please try again.  If the problem continues, contact your e-mail administrator."

I found this support page - https://www.spectrumbusiness.net/support/articl... - it looks like they do give imap accounts out on the exchange server by default. Exchange is a better experience but they probably charge an arm and a leg for the upgrade. :) (I have a business internet account with them but it doesn't include email addresses.)

Use Auto or SSL/TLS for the outgoing SMTP server.

Try Auto for the encryption method for IMAP - and if 993 doesn't work, try 143, both with Auto and None - you don't really want to use 143/None long term, but it can buy a little time to figure it out.

What antivirus software do you use? . Some 3rd party applications scan email and its possible this could be part of the problem.
