Outlook 2010 Contacts/activities problem

Outlook 2010 no longers lists older emails under the contacts/activities option and new emails do not show up either.  I tried a scanpst and it did not help.  Is there an option I need to configure or do an index to get the emails to show up under activities?

No, it is not coming back. In fact, Activities was removed from Outlook 2013. Journal is still there but that is about it.

Answer

The difficulty started when I imported (no dups) a pst file to the existing file.  Didn't go away after I went back to the original file or with any other working file that was ok before.

I did a 2010 reinstall and the problem is gone- all files including the merged files are ok.  The only things that didn't get restored were the rules I had set up, I'm guessing something within 2010 got corrupted during the original import process.  I did try a 2010 repair first before the reinstall- no help.  Only other problem with the reinstall was my raid boot devise was disabled after the remove so I had to enable it.  The good news is all seems ok now

Thanks Diane and Russ for responding.
