Outlook 2007 unable to logon to Hotmail server

I just installed Office 2007 Enterprise onto my Vista 64 bit PC.  The applications are functioning but I am unable to configure the Outlook program to connect with my hotmail account.  I have tried repairing the email account in the Mail Set / Email Accounts tab--but no luck.  I re-enter my account information and password; the system establishes network connection (check), searches for my address at hotmail.com server settings... but finally fails to logon and prompts me to retry.  Can anyone suggest what the roadblock is and how I can resolve this?  Thank you.

Bob

It could be a fleeting error and it might work if you try later...  if you have waited:

Do you have the Outlook Connector installed? uninstall it and reinstall it then try again.

If you want to use POP3, you need to create the account manually.
