Question

Q: Outlook 2002. I am not able to synchorize with the Hotmail server in my Outlook. What can I do to make my email synchronize again?

This has been going on for some time.  I was able to synchronize until the beginning of 2008.  I think that something changed in the way that we login to hotmail which outlook does not have in its system already.  Is there a patch that can be loaded so that I can synchronize my emails again?

Answer

A:

It definitely died last September. To continue to receive e-mail from your Hotmail account, you need to select one of the methods below to connect to Hotmail.

Using Outlook 2002, you will need to change the account to use POP3.  You can also use Windows Live Mail (free). See  http://www.slipstick.com/problems/msn_denied.asp for details.
