Accessing Rogers.com email from Outlook.com

No matter what I try this doesn't seem to work.  I use the exact same settings as I used to on my fat client Outlook and Apple products.  What is the correct set of steps to add a rogers.com (POP) email account.   I am using pop.broadband.rogers.com and smtp.broadband.rogers.com etc.

Rogers has all the information you need here:

Additionally, you'll want to ensure that you use port 110 for POP3 and port 587 for SMTP. You'll find them in the account settings under More Settings > Advanced.

 

Note: Outlook.com is your Hotmail account. This is unrelated to Microsoft Outlook and is not a POP3 mail account. You would use the Hotmail connector to pull Hotmail/Outlook.com mail into Microsoft Outlook.
